CDL Class A feature
A class A license is considered the “universal” CDL, providing the opportunity to drive multiple types of commercial trucks and tractor trailers. Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) of 26,001or more AND Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the Trailer (Towed Unit) is 10,001 or more pounds.
CLASS A CDL AUTOMATIC
- Two to Four weeks on AVERAGE of hands-on behind the wheel skills training OR till mastered the skills and ready for test! Straight Backing, Offset Backing & Parallel Parking, CDL Test Requirements
- Unlimited pre-trip vehicle inspection training for six days a week – Sat thru Thur 9 a.m to 5 p.m.
- Driving Skills– local, service and freeway practice to mastery level.
CLASS A CDL MANUAL (STICK SHIFT)
- Three to Six weeks on AVERAGE of hands-on behind the wheel skills training OR till mastered the skills and ready for test! Straight Backing, Offset Backing & Parallel Parking, CDL Test Requirements
- Unlimited pre-trip vehicle inspection training for six days a week – Sat thru Thur 9 a.m to 5 p.m.
- Ten speed manual transmission (stick-shift) training
- Driving Skills– local, service and freeway driving practice.
Class B CDL Features
Class B CDL - any vehicle with a GVWR - Gross Vehicle Weight Rating greater than 26,000 pounds, as well as any vehicle towing a trailer that does not exceed a GVWR of 10,000 pounds. A Class B CDL is required for: drivers towing trailers with less than 10,000 pounds of GVWR.
